Welcome back. You’ve heard of centering, I’m sure.  Here’s how it can affect you. Last week, I woke up very early and as I stood up, I felt dizzy and disoriented.  I pulled myself back down into my body using an energetic centering process, and almost instantly, I felt my feet warming, my mind clearing, and the dizzy feeling left. Today, I am sharing with you the deceptively simple but powerful practice of centering.  You can do it.

What does being centered mean?  In psychology, it means that you view the world from the inside out.  You become centered when you're in tune to what's happening around you right now. Being centered means staying calm, cool, and collected. You're in control of your emotions, especially during stressful situations.  You are not pulled away from yourself by outside circumstances.

Energetically, it is the same thing.  Your spirit, which is you or your energy, the part of you that’s eternal, is not aligned with your physical body.  It lowers your frequency.  You lose strength, whether it’s emotional, physical or spiritual.  Your spirit animates and energizes your body.

How do you get off-center?  Most children are born half in and half out of their body, but their spirit eventually gets into their bodysuit properly, which helps them grow into healthy adults.  Of those that don’t, they use it as a survival mechanism because, as children, they have little control over the world around them so rather than staying centered, they focus away from their center and look to what’s happening around them.

However, adults in modern society tend to think more than move, causing your energy to pull up towards the head and even out towards other things that you believe are important.  For example, you can become stressed over what someone says about you and your attention is then on them.  This change in field energy is actually measurable around the body.  Simple experiments around a century ago showed this to be the case.

Most adults operate with their spirit not reaching down past their waist, leaving their hips, legs, and feet vacant.    This results in a host of issues.

Energetically, centering is the practice of aligning your spirit with your body.  Don’t confuse this with grounding which provides an earthing channel to expel disharmonious or foreign energy out of your body.

The symptoms of being off-center include lack of focus, dizziness, distractedness, worrying about things that are not really your business, and issues in your lower body physically, such as back pain, kidney issues, bladder problems, hip and knee pain, and even neuropathy in the feet.

Extreme examples of spiritual misalignment include autism, ADHD, and certain mental illnesses. Because your spirit, which is pure energy, concentrates up around your head, it can cause extreme distractedness, and disconnection from reality and other people.  One symptom of this is them not allowing anyone to touch them or give them a haircut.  They have too much energy buzzing around their head.   Often these symptoms dramatically improve once they’ve been centered.

The benefit of daily centering means you keep your body fully animated by your spirit.
Physically, it promotes good health in your lower body, reducing pain and issues with the kidneys, bladder, large intestines, and the reproductive system.  Mental and emotional impacts are even more beneficial.  It improves mood and clarity, and gives you a sense of lightness, like everything is easy.  Productivity in any endeavor improves because of the combination of these things.  You even become more attractive to others, and this, in turn, leads to a greater income, whether you are employed or run your own business.

How do you center yourself?

You can become centered using a few different simple techniques. Here are three that can be done by anyone.

1.  The simplest to do when you first wake up in the morning: is to stand up or sit up, straighten up your spine, pull your shoulders back, smiling helps, and take a deep breath, pulling air into your body by pushing your belly button out (using your diaphragm) rather than expanding your chest.  It pulls the air deeper into your lungs, inflating them fully.  You can also imagine the air carrying pink and gold energy so as you inhale, imagine it going into your fingers and toes.  Yes, I know it doesn’t go there, but the image in your mind will help pull your energy into your body so it can animate it properly.  When you release your breath, imagine anything dark dropping down into the Earth.  Repeat this two to four times.  You can even set an hourly reminder to take in some nice deep breaths to keep you centered.

2.  The second technique I’ll describe is called superbrain yoga.  You can look this up for YouTube videos on it.  It’s a pranic healing technique.  You do this one standing up: While standing up straight, You put your right thumb on your left earlobe to hold it and your left thumb on your right earlobe.  Movement across the medial line of the body helps balance your brain halves, by the way.  Put your tongue onto the roof of your mouth behind your front teeth.  Take a deep breath and bend at the knees, like you’re doing a deep knee bend.  Maintain your balance.  As you rise, exhale.  The knees come forward as your rear moves backward, while you are rising and falling.  You have covered balancing your body in all three dimensions.  Do this 7 or 14 times to achieve centeredness.

3.  And last, you start with the same as the first position in superbrain yoga, but you are seated.  Right thumb over left earlobe, left thumb over right, back straight, tongue on the roof of your mouth.  Breathe deeply with your diaphragm until you feel your body start to sway.

Next, cross your right wrist over the left, keep your tongue in position, and breathe deeply into your diaphragm again until your body starts to sway.

Last, uncross your hands and cross your left ankle over your right.  Breathe deeply until your body starts to sway.  You are now centered.

I encourage you to try at least one centering technique each day this week.
